I love teaching bass. For me teaching music involves guiding individuals to connect with their imagination and emotions through sound and rhythm. By exploring various musical elements such as tempo, melody, and harmony, we learn to find their own voice in music.

Finding one’s voice as a bass player involves a delicate balance between honing your individual style while also grounding yourself in the foundational principles of bass playing. Exploring different techniques, tones, and approaches to discover what resonates with you personally. However, it's equally important to understand the role of the bass in music—to provide the solid foundation and groove that underpins the entire song. This involves studying various genres, learning from recordings of master bassists, and developing a keen sense of rhythm and timing.

Finding your voice as a bassist means expressing yourself authentically while serving the music and contributing to its overall groove and feel.

Classes are held at a music studio in Brooklyn or online.
